Arrow What happened to the noisy armor sounds?

What happened to the new noisy armor sounds? Seems like they toned it down again. I liked it better when it had all the metal sounds right when Nighfall came out!

Afaikthey are still there.
I just think it differs from profession.
For instance i noticed my necro not amking them anymore however my warrior just yesterday still had the clinging going on.
Maybe that's the reason?

That's probably it, I remember when they first were in the game, just before the beta event, even my monk's Phoenix made that armor folly noise, seemed quite innapropriate :P

They probably made it only happen for certain armors, and I believe different/lighter sounds for armors that look like cloth etc. But in any case, I still hear it on other people in towns and whatnot.

What ranger's armor is metallic? As far as I know only one set uses metal but most of it is leather.

At first I liked it, but eventually I just grew tired of all that noise, almost sounded like I had a bad audio card. I'm sort of glad it's no longer there...

... I thought I was mentally blocking it out

Generally Ranger armor isn't metallic, but Studded Leather armor is the only exception because it uses Steel or Deldrimor Steel as crafting materials. I guess Studded Leather Obsidian armor could count but nobody crafts that version anyway.

I liked it except it was annoying when it made the noise in town.

I noticed my non-metallic monk makes a jingling sound as she plods along. Used to be just a faint "thmp".

I should look up and point you to that big long 13+ page petition against that sound thing because it was too loud. A.net won't change something back to the way it was if one person happened to like it more but +200 people were violently ticked about it.

I kinda liked the sound on my Ritualist - ya know, with all the dangling coins all over her. It did, after all, sound kinda like spare change.

If they're really gone, then hurray!

I can't express how annoying the keyring armor was. Especially on my Mesmer and Elementalist, both of whom have not a buckle on them.
